Hi John,
Long time no chat.
I am not sure if you are aware, but copies of many of the older Dorset parish records have recently appeared on Ancestry.
In order to try to untangle the various blood lines, using all the possible variations on "Motyer" I can think of, I have transcribed as many as I can find onto an Excel spreadsheet. Then I sorted the s/s into date order. I thought you might be interested in the result, which is attached.
I am still hoping that I may be able to find more, as Ancestry has transcribed some of the names incorrectly. (I have amended any mistakes I have found, but there are a few names that are very difficult to read.)
I have access to the source documents of all the events listed in the spreadsheet. Please let me know if you would like a copy of any of them.
Best wishes,
Sue
